Christian Clerget, Chambolle Musigny Vintage:2020(from a range of vineyards all over the commune that include Nazoires, Les Condemennes, Les Athets, Les Babillires, Les Herbues and Les Bussires). An herbal tea top note is present on the cool, airy and layered essence of red currant and raspberry. The mid palate mouthfeel of the medium weight flavors is almost delicate that contrasts slightly with the youthfully austere and dusty finale. This too could use more depth but its certainly very pretty.

This is on the woodier side stylistically but it’s not over the top

But I firmly feel that recent vintages from Errazuriz completely outshine the older ones and speaking at length with winemaker Francisco Baettig

moderate sweetness and rich texture

2-3 decades are needed for this to really come around

I mean Roman

It’s mind-bogglingly delicious and has my head spinning for more

aged in 50% new oak

The palate impression is one of generosity

Fresh and easy-drinking

round and seductively textured medium weight flavors possess a caressing mouthfeel that contrasts somewhat with the firm and relatively powerful finish
