Providence Vintage:2008Tasted blind. Bright ruby. Very well integrated nose. Pungent with some minerally notes aromatically plus sweetness and gaminess on the palate. Just a little stolid on the palate but pretty satisfying. Spicy.
I have had the 1999 Rocche on many occasions
penetrating and pure
The Riserva is sourced from the Il Vignone site at a high 500 meters above sea level where summer breezes keep the grapes healthy and ripe
I guess my palate needs to take a vacation
and you feel its silky effects on the palate for many minutes
Like the Malconsorts this intensely mineral-driven effort is somewhat less structured than usual though it certainly doesn’t lack for power and punch
On the palate there is good size
Very pale crimson with some blue
A softly spicy nose speaks of purple fruit
with flavors of apple
The deepest and most powerful Kutch Pinot
melted tar and crushed violet scents
