(1894-1979) Chromolithograph Ben Foster was a wellEtching, 1918, LC 10, Ed. 75, 6 7 16 x 3 15 16, signed in pencil, diffuse barely noticable stain above three wrapped containers bottom center, on thin cream wove japan paper 8 1 4 x 5 3 4. The delicacy of Winkler's etched line here and descriptive accuracy of his draftsmanship affirm his master as an etcher. A lumious impression on the cream japan showing a delightfully Whistlerian influence.
